Butcher's Prime

At Butcher's Prime we honor responsible consumption, tradition with innovation, exchange of knowledge, honesty and transparency. We dry age all of our beef for a minimum of 14 days, which creates tenderness and an intensse flavor that will completely change how your think about beef. With our trusted sources you can taste the pastures our animals roam.

Brief

In this study, I created a specialty meat market and deli brand called Butcher’s Prime. Butcher’s Prime meat and deli offers a variety of carefully sourced fresh meat including select beef, sea-food, poultry, pork, lamb, veal, and venison. Along with fresh meat, Butchers Prime also offers a tasteful selection of imported cheeses, wines, and includes a deli with custom made sandwhiches. The goal for this project is to bring a new and modern brand for a start up in a hybrid butcher / sandwhich shop.

When conceptualizing the brand identity I took some inspiration in modern interior design with minimal features to it, bright lighting and darker features making up the brand with emphasis on the quality of the product. The brand will also have a handcrafted and personal feeling. Which I find important when it comes to quality and local food sources that the neighbor- hoods can trust.

My inspiration will come from higher end meat markets that provide high end products, meats, and sandwhiches. Butcher’s Prime will be geared towards local communites looking for a trusted source for meat. That would include mainly adults, majority men and aging from 20-60. These people would be interested in hand crafted food, specialty foods, cooking, and ethiclaly and specialty sourced foods.
